Hush Meter

Terms of Use

Effective October 21, 2026

By using Hush Meter, you agree to these terms. They are short because the service is simple.

Using Hush Meter

You may use Hush Meter for free in classrooms, schools, homes and other settings. Please do not try to disrupt the site, copy it to pass it off as your own, or use it in a way that breaks the law.

Not a measuring instrument

Hush Meter shows how loud a room is compared with a limit you choose. It is a classroom management aid, not a calibrated sound level meter. Do not rely on it for hearing safety, workplace noise rules or any other measurement where accuracy matters.

Your microphone

Hush Meter only uses your microphone after you allow it in your browser. How the sound is handled is described in the privacy policy.

Paid features

We may offer optional paid features in the future. If we do, their price and terms will be shown clearly before you pay, and the free noise meter will stay available.

No warranty

Hush Meter is provided as is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available, free of errors or suitable for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Hush Meter.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use Hush Meter after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
